Pain is the Mindbody’s way of getting our attention to get us to take action to help ourselves.
Our own experiences of pain are unique; we all have a different tolerance and pain threshold. Pain is so complex that it is even idiosyncratic to individual ethnic and cultural groups, both in terms of experience of pain and perceived intensity. Pain is experienced in the brain and therefor has an emotional response that can become a fully-fledged memory. There are many pain syndromes which people are suffering from, including Fibromyalgia as an example. We have worked alongside many Fibromyalgia groups to better understand the complexity of this disorder and best way to help.

There have been many studies which have considered if this is a mental or physical condition, however, we must also consider the relevance, as whether it originates from the body or the brain, the pain is still experienced. There are many hypnotherapeutic approaches to pain which have proved to be successful.
